PM Modi inaugurates Krishi Kumbha 2018

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said, the use of new techniques has started changing the farming scenario in the country and farmers will now become power generators with the help of modern technologies. 

Mr. Modi was speaking after inaugurating three-day long Krishi Kumbh 2018 in Lucknow through video conferencing on Friday. 

Prime Minister said that farmers of the country are now using technologies like solar pumps and solar panels for optimum use of their land. 

Mr. Modi said, Krishi Kumbh 2018 will open new avenues for farmers in coming days which will benefit them.
       
Mr. Modi said, the Government is providing 50 to 80 per cent discount on machineries to stop farmers from stubble burning.

Prime Minister said, after the green revolution the country is heading towards the path of white, sweet and blue revolution. 

Mr. Modi called upon agriculture scientists and experts to use this event to find technology-related solution so that farmers and environment both are benefited. 

Our correspondent reports that 3-day-long Krishi Kumbh is having Haryana and Jharkhand as partner states and Japan and Israel as partner countries.
