Cyclone DAYE weakens into deep depression

PIB The cyclonic storm DAYE has weekend further into a depression over Vidarbha in Maharashtra. 

It is expected to move west-northwestwards and weaken further into a low pressure in next 24 hours. 

Talking to AIR, Head of Services of IMD, Dr M Mohapatra said, under its influence, rainfall is likely to take place at most places over Vidarbha and North Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. 

Dr M Mohapatra said, on Sunday the low-pressure system is expected to interact with a western disturbance which will approach North East India. 

He said, due to this Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Western UP, Uttrakhand and Himachal Pradesh are expected to experience enhanced rainfall activity.
