Rain affects normal life in Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand, normal life has been affected due to rain in several parts of the state in the last few days.

Movement of traffic on about 150 link roads remains interrupted by landslides in various areas including the state capital.

Charadham Yatra is also affected due to landslides. Major rivers and rivulets are swollen following heavy rain in their catchment areas.

The Weather department has forecast moderate rainfall in the next 24 hours in different parts of the state.

It said heavy rains may occur in many parts of the state from the 1st to the 3rd September in Garhwal and Kumaon region.
