Assam govt to provide Rs 50 lakh to each assembly constituencies to revive defunct drinking water schemes

Participating in an AIR talk show tonight, PHE minister Rihon Daimary said that the Centre has given its nod to implement 122 new schemes to make the state free from arsenic and fluoride.  He said that by 2030 all families in the state would get safe drinking water. 

Mr Daimary said that nearly 15 thousand villages in Assam have been declared Open Defecation Free under Swacch Bharat Mission. He said that household toilets will be constructed for all the beneficiaries under Swacch Bharat Mission.
