Rupee closes four paise up at Rs 69.90 against dollar

Rupee at forex market closed four paise up at 69 rupees and 90 paise against the dollar from yesterday's lifetime low close.

Yesterday it nosedived due investors rush to safe-havens such as the US dollar, Swiss franc and the yen after a plunge in the Turkish Lira. Yesterday, all other emerging market currencies also sharply fell due the plunge in the Turkish currency.

On previous session, the rupee had closed at 69 rupees 93 paise against the US currency.
