At least 26 people were killed and dozens critically injured in the Air strikes by Saudi led coalition on a fishing port and fish market in the Yemeni city of Hodeidah.

The International Committee of the Red Cross said on Twitter it was sending medical equipment to Al Thawra Hospital to treat the critically injured.
The hospital said in a tweet, a strike targeted its main gate, leaving dozens of casualties while Houthi-run Saba news agency said 40 were killed in the strike. A coalition spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Sunni Muslim allies have been fighting in Yemen with Western backing for more than three years against the Iran-aligned Houthis.

The Houthis control much of north Yemen including the capital Sanaa and drove its Saudi-backed government into exile in 2014.

On Tuesday Yemen's Houthi group said, it was unilaterally halting attacks in the Red Sea for two weeks to support peace efforts. Saudi Arabia suspended oil exports through the channel following last week's Houthi attacks on crude tankers.

Meanwhile, the UN envoy for Yemen has invited the warring parties to talks in September aimed at ending the three-year conflict, saying the pace of fighting has increased and the Red Sea is now a theatre of war.
