Rescue & relief operations underway at Ghaziabad building collapse site

In Uttar Pradesh, rescue and relief operations are in full swing in Dasna area of Ghaziabad, where a multi-story building collapsed last evening. 

Two bodies have been recovered, so far, from the debris. Commandant of NDRF, engaged in the rescue and relief operation, told AIR that nine people have been rescued, and six of them have been admitted in a Delhi hospital for treatment.

Police has detained one person for interrogation in connection with the incident. 

An FIR has been lodged against three persons including the builder and owner of the land, and some unknown persons. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the Meerut Divisional Commissioner to probe the incident. 

He has also announced financial assistance of two lakh rupees each to the next of kin of those killed, and 50,000 to the injured. 
The incident occured days after two multi-story buildings collapsed in Greater Noida claiming nine lives.
