PM Modi calls for expeditious upgradation of health infrastructure in country
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for expeditious upgradation of health infrastructure in the country. Mr. Modi today reviewed the progress in implementation of the scheme for establishment of new medical colleges attached with existing district and referral hospitals.
Interacting through PRAGATI, Mr. Modi reviewed the progress of eight infrastructure projects in railway, road, and power sectors. During the interaction, Prime Minister said the recently concluded first phase of the Gram Swaraj Abhiyan had achieved great success in the implementation of seven key schemes of Central Government in over 16 thousand villages.
He said, the second phase of the Abhiyan is now underway in over 40 thousand villages of aspirational districts.
Mr. Modi also appreciated the progress made so far under the Saubhagya Yojana and said that all efforts must be made to complete the ambitious target of providing four crore families an electricity connection within the stipulated timeline.
