CBI files charge sheet in Kotkhai rape and murder case in trial court in Shimla

The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI today filed a charge sheet in the Kotkhai rape and murder case in a trial court in Shimla. A CBI official said, the charge sheet claims that Anil alias Neelu is the prime culprit while six others arrested by the state police were falsely implicated. The probe agency also submitted a fresh status report and a copy of the charge sheet in the High Court.
After the custodial death of an accused Suraj in Kotkhai police station on July 18, the case was handed over to the CBI. CBI in a charge sheet said, Neelu was a habitual offender and allegedly raped and murdered the minor girl in July last year.
