13 people killed in Uttarakhand road accident

In Uttarakhand, 13 people killed in a road accident at Bhatroj Khan- Ramnagor motor road in Almora district on Tuesday. 

The rescue operation is being carried out with the help of locals and district administration. 

AIR correspondent reports, the accident occurred around 9 am in the morning when bus ferrying passengers fell into a deep gorge near Kalidhar-Muhana area of the district. 

SDRF along with police officials have also been deployed for rescue operation. The ill fated bus was on its way from Almora to Ramnagar. 

So far 13 people have been admitted to Ramnagar Hospital. Three seriously injured person have also been referred to Base Hospital, Haldwani. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. 

Chief Minister Trivander Singh Rawat has expressed deep grief over the incident and directed district administration to provide exgratia amount to next of the kin of deceased.
