US to build it's new embassy in Jerusalem soon


US President Donald Trump has said, they are going to build the new American embassy in Jerusalem very quickly and he might attend the ceremony in May. 

The White House said this after Mr Trump met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington on Tuesday. 

Mr Trump's reaffirmed the friendship between both the countries and the commitment of the US to Israel's security. 

He said, the relationship between the two countries is at its best and underscored the goal of countering Iran's malign influence.

Mr Netanyahu said, Washington's move to recognise Jerusalem as the Israeli capital would be remembered throughout the ages.

US recognised Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in December and announced that the US embassy would move to the city in May. 

The decision caused uproar in the Arab world and led Palestinian leaders to reject a US role in mediating a resolution to the decades old Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
