NDRF deploys 15 teams in rain hit coastal districts of Maharashtra

Due to high rain by Indian Metrological Department, IMD, in coastal districts of Maharashtra, 15 teams are pre positioned yesterday night.

As rains intensified in Mumbai and other coastal districts of Maharashtra, NDRF has deployed 5th battalion to face any issues in view of incessant rains.

As per information shared by the agency, 15 teams have been deployed in Thane, Raigad, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Mumbai and Sindhudurg districts.

In last 24 hours 155.46 mm of rainfall has been recorded in Navi Mumbai.

It has been raining heavily in Navi Mumbai area since morning.

There is no information of water logging anywhere in the city.
