Karnataka CM launches DBT related mobile app for beneficiaries of Govt schemes

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa today launched a Direct Benefit Transfer related mobile app for the beneficiaries of Government schemes.

The citizens can download the app from Google play store and find out the details about the financial assistance given under 120 Government programmes.

The money is deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries and the app s them on the date, bank and account number where the money is deposited.

This Aadhaar number based payment mode promotes transparency and prevents corruption.

The state Government has used the Direct Benefit Transfer platform to deposit over Rs. 12000 crore in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries in the last two years.

All financial packages announced by the Chief Minister during Covid 19 first and Second wave were transferred to the bank accounts through this platform.
