In Assam, the Himanta Biswa Sarma led government has completed one month in office today.
Chief Minister Mr. Sarma has inaugurated a 300 bedded Covid Care hospital in Guwahati, set up by DRDO today to mark the day.
He has also inaugurated a scheme named Chief Minister’s Sishu Seva Scheme to the benefit of those children who lost their parents due to Covid 19.
Talking to newspersons in Guwahati, Chief Minister announced another scheme for those ladies who lost their husbands due to Covid.
Mr. Sarma announced to provide one time assistance of Rs. 2.5 lakh, widow pension and the enrollment in the Orunodoi scheme.
He said that in the last one month, Assam Police seized nearly 24 crore rupees drugs and arrested 500 peddlers.
The Chief Minister said that zero tolerance against drugs will be continued.
The Chief Minister said, Assam is the only state who tried to control Covid 19 pandemic without imposing total lockdown.
