In Chhattisgarh, the situation of COVID infection is improving steadily. Besides, the COVID vaccination campaign is also going on in full swing.
AIR correspondent reports that, so far more than eight lakh thirty thousand people in the age group of eighteen to forty four years have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Chhattisgarh. Besides, seventy seven per cent of the people above the age of forty-five years have also been vaccinated. In three districts – Mahasamund, Raigarh and Dhamtari, the first dose has been administered to 100 per cent of the people above the age of forty five.
Apart from this, the first dose of COVID vaccine has been given to 100 per cent frontline workers in the state. As far as health workers are concerned, ninety per cent of them have been vaccinated. So far, more than seventy one lakh vaccines have been administered to persons of all age groups and categories in the state, including first and second doses.
