Uttar Pradesh govt to vaccinate 10 crore people in next three months

The Uttar Pradesh government has set a target to vaccinate 10 crore people in the months of June, July and August. UP has also become the first state in the country to inoculate more than 31 lakh youths.

As part of mass vaccination drive, special camps will be organised for women of the state from today so that they can be vaccinated on priority basis. In every district, at least two special camps will be organised for women. This is being done in the wake of the impending danger of third wave of covid so that women who remain close to children should become safe from the danger of getting infected. The Government is already giving preference to the parents whose children are less than 12 years old. The State government has set the target to inoculate 10 crore people in three months and for this training will be given to one lakh vaccinators. Some districts will be marked on certain parameters and 100% vaccination will be done in these districts on priority basis.
