India reports one lakh new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hour; Recovery rate increases to 93.94 pct

India has reported one lakh daily new cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest in 61 days. A total of 1 lakh 74 thousand 399 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. Recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 25th consecutive day. The recovery rate has increased to 93.94 percent.

More than 23.27 crore vaccine doses have also been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. India’s active caseload has further declined to 14 lakh one thousand and 609. Active cases decreased by 76 thousand 190 in the last 24 hours.  And the total recoveries across the country increased  to over 2 crore 71 lakh and 59 thousand.

A total of 2427 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 3 lakh 49 thousand and 186. Testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and 36.6 crore total tests have been conducted.
