More than 1 crore 93 lakh COVID vaccine doses still available with states, UTs: Govt

The Union Government today said that more than one crore 93 lakh COVID vaccine doses are still available with States and Union Territories to be administered. Health Ministry said, as part of the nationwide vaccination drive, Union Government has been supporting the States and UTs by providing them COVID vaccines free of cost. In addition, the government has also been facilitating direct procurement of vaccines by the States and UTs.

The Ministry said, government has so far provided, more than 24 crore vaccine doses to States and UTs. Vaccination is an integral pillar of the comprehensive strategy of Government of India for containment and management of the pandemic, along with Test, Track, Treat and COVID Appropriate Behaviour.
