I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar criticizes Punjab govt for COVID mismanagement and making profit from COVID vaccine

Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar today criticized the Punjab Government for COVID mismanagement and making profit from COVID vaccine. He accused the Congress of ignoring the people of Punjab for its internal politics. He asked the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to take note of mismanagement in Punjab rather than giving lectures to others.

While addressing the media, Mr. Javadekar has said, the Centre has provided over 22 crore doses of COVID vaccines to the States and Union Territories free of cost. He said, Punjab Government has provided more than one lakh 40 thousand doses of Covaxin at the price of Rs 400. He alleged that the Punjab Government has given these doses to 20 private hospitals at the rupees of one thousand and people are getting single doses at the cost of Rs 1500. He raised a question over the changing demands of the Punjab Government over the allocation of vaccines. He said, earlier the Punjab Government had demanded for decentralization of the vaccination process and now it is again demanding to centralize it.
