Uttar Pradesh govt plans to vaccinate parents of children below 12 years on priority basis

Uttar Pradesh government has prepared a plan to vaccinate parents of children below 12 years of age on priority basis. The move comes after experts’ warning that third wave of Corona might hit children hard. AIR correspondent reports that in a review meeting yesterday Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked officials to prepare a work plan for vaccination of those parents whose children are less than 12 years age.

In this line he instructed to make ‘parent special booths’ for vaccination of such parents. Administration will also try to contact with parents and persuade them to come for vaccination. This will be helpful for the security of children as well as parents.

State government is already giving preference to to officials of judiciary, banks, media and other frontline workers groups in vaccination and camps are being organised for such groups. Chief Minister has asked to organised two camps each in every district for such groups.
