Police in Gadchiroli district tamed Naxal movement to a great extent: Maha Home Minister

Home Minister of Maharashtra, Dilip Walse Patil has said, Police in Gadchiroli district have tamed the Naxal movement to a great extent. He said, the naxal movement still has influence in the neighboring state of Chhattisgarh. Therefore, he will soon discuss with the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and  jointly work for the eradication of Naxalism in both the states. Mr. Patil was addressing a press conference today in Gadchiroli.

13 Naxalites were killed  in the forest  area under Kasansur Police Relief Center of Etapalli block in Gadchiroli this morning .  These naxals were killed in a gun battle with the policemen of C-60 squad of Gadchiroli who were  conducting a search operation.  On this occasion, Mr. Patil lauded the police personnel who were involved in this anti naxal opertaion.
