May Day being observed across the globe today

Today is International Labour Day. The day is celebrated to honour the contribution of workers across the world. It is also known as May Day. The  day aims at paying tribute to workers’ sacrifices in achieving economic and social rights all over the world.

On the occasion, Director-General of International Labour Organization, Guy Ryder has called on workers, employers, governments, international organizations and all who are committed to building back better, to join forces to bring in a world of work with justice and dignity for all.
