Bihar government has decided to set up 100 to 500 bed Covid care centre in each district of the state in view of increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the state. These centres will be equipped with oxygen facility. Principal Secretary of Health department Pratyay Amrit said, cryogenic oxygen tank will be established in every district to meet challenges of oxygen scarcity. The state government has also decided to buy 100 trunet machines to enhance testing facilities.

Meanwhile, 11 thousand 489 fresh cases of Covid -19 were reported in the state yesterday. 91 deaths were also reported. With this, casualties due to pandemic have gone upto one thousand 956. Maximum positive cases of two thousand 643 reported from Patna.

Active cases in the state have gone up to 69 thousand 868 and they are undergoing treatment at different hospitals. Recovery rate is decreasing and it is now at 80.36 percent.

86 thousand 609 people took the vaccine yesterday. Over 63 lakh 62 thousand 151 people have so far been vaccinated in the state.
