In Odisha, COVID-19 active caseload has risen to about 31 thousand.
The state reported a total of 4,851 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
On the other hand, more than 1 lakh covid vaccine doses were administered to eligible citizens in 889 session sites yesterday.
AIR correspondent reports, of late, each of the total 30 districts of the state has been reporting new cases in varying numbers with Khordha-the home district of capital Bhubaneswar leading the tally.
While the district reported a high of 703 fresh cases, Sonepur district had only 9 cases during the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, weekend shutdown will be imposed in all the urban centres of the state with effect from this week onwards.
