246 inmates in 47 prisons across Maharashtra contracted virus

In Maharashtra, according to the prison authorities, 246 inmates in 47 prisons across the state have contracted the virus.

The highest number of infected prisoners are from Mumbai.

At the high-security Arthur road prison and Byculla prison as many as 61 inmates have been suffering from this viral infection.

The prison authorities have said that all these inmates are under medical treatment.

Also, 102 personnel from different prisons in the state too have contracted the infection, and they too are under treatment.
