Telangana reports 6,542 fresh cases of COVID-19

Telangana reported Six thousand, Five hundred, 42 fresh COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours. According to the State Covid Bulletin, 20 more persons succumbed to COVID-19 and other comorbidities taking the death toll in the state to 18 hundred 76.

While the recovery rate further dipped to 86.85 percent from over 98 per cent last month, 2 thousand, eight hundred 87 more people recovered from COVID taking the total recoveries in the state to Three lakh, 19 thousand, 537. The state has currently over 46 thousand active cases. The number of COVID cases reported in the state so far has gone up to Three lakh, 67 thousand, 901.

The GHMC area reported 898 fresh COVID cases during the past 24 hours. Medchal Malkajgiri, Rangareddy and Nizamabad districts are among which reported a considerably high number of fresh cases while about 20 districts in the state reported over hundred fresh cases each.

Meanwhile, over one lakh 39 thousand people have been vaccinated on a single day yesterday in the state. With this, over 32 lakh 68 thousand people have been vaccinated so far in the state.
