Gujarat records 12,206 new cases of Covid-19

Gujarat has recorded 12,206 new cases of Covid19 yesterday. Maximum 4631 new cases reported from Ahmedabad city, while Surat recorded 1553 new cases. 4339 patients recovered and were discharged from the various hospitals. 121 patients lost their lives due to Covid19 in the state yesterday.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has announced a series of steps to check the spread of Covid19 and treatment of the Covid patients. AIR correspondent reports, addressing the people through social media last night, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has said that all private hospitals, clinics and nursing homes will be allowed to treat the Covid19 patients. Now they will not require any permission from the Government. They will just need to inform the district authority about this. All honorary staff of government hospitals will get Rs.20 thousand honorary salary for next 3 months.

Mr. Rupani also appealed to the medical and paramedical staff to support the government efforts by joining government hospitals on honorary salary. He said that negotiations are on to admit the Covid19 patients in military hospitals at Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Kutch and Jamnagar.
