Telangana reports over three thousand fresh Covid cases in last 24 hrs

In a continued surge in the number of COVID cases being reported daily, Telangana state reported Three thousand, Three hundred, and Seven fresh cases during the past 24 hours. With this, the number of COVID cases reported in the state so far has gone up to Three lakh 38 thousand 45. With 897 more people recovering from COVID-19, the total recoveries in the state have gone up to Three lakh Eight thousand Three hundred 96 .

This brought down the recovery rate 91.22 per cent from over 98 per cent a few weeks ago. According to the State Covid Bulletin, Eight more persons succumbed to COVID-19 and other comorbidities taking the total death toll in the state to 17 hundred 88. The state has currently over 27 thousand active cases and over 18 thousand of them are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, the GHMC area reported 446 fresh COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours while Medchal Malkajgiri and Rangareddy and Nizamabad reported nearly three hundred cases each. Jagityal, Sangareddy, Adilabad, Khammam, Kamareddy Nalgonda, Nirmal and Karimanagar districts reported about 100 or above cases each during the same period.

Meanwhile, as part of Tika Utsav, over one lakh 35 thousand people have been vaccinated on a single day yesterday in the state. With this, over 24 lakh 58 thousand people have been vaccinated so far in the state.
