The Three simple steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 became the mantra as the Prime Minister made a clarion call to make it a mass movement.
Leading influencers like the medical experts, sportspersons, film stars etc. came on AIR News and other platforms to voice their support.
Within the first week of its launch, the ‘Jan Andolan’ campaign garnered 2.33 billion impressions and trended on Twitter with the hashtag “Unite2fightCorona”. And the result is for everyone to see. The daily rise in the number of positive cases which was 78, 524 on the day of the launch of the people’s movement has come down drastically by 66 percent to 26, 567 cases as of 8th December.
