Prime Minister urges for calm during Coronavirus Pandemic

In the 63rd edition of the extremely popular radio programme Mann ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, the whole world and country is concerned with the covid 19 pandemic. He apologised to the countrymen for the country wide lockdown. He said he understood the troubles faced by the poorer sections. The lockdown was inevitable to ward off the spread of coronavirus.
“A disease must be dealt with at the very beginning” our ancient texts say. Mr Modi said that today the entire country is doing the same. Covid 19 is a challenge before everyone. Entire humanity must unite and resolve to stop its vicious tentacles.
The lockdown is meant to save every Indian, Prime Minister emphasised. Following the Lakshmanrekha can save us from coronavirus.
Quote from our scriptures, Mr Modi in today’s Mann ki Baat said, Arogyam Mahabhagyam, that is good health is the biggest fortune. The country can be saved if everyone follows the lockdown rules.
Prime Minister Modi thanked the doctors, nurses and each and every person involved in treating Corona patients.
During the programme he also telephonically spoke to some recovered patients, doctors and nurses. He asked them to make people aware of the pandemic and emphasize that it is treatable.
Mr Modi said 2020 is being celebrated as the international year of the nurse. This is indeed a great tribute to the noble profession.
Prime Minister Modi said a grateful nation has extended insurance cover of Rs.50 lakh to the corona warriors like doctors, nurses, paramedics, ambulance drivers and safai karmacharis, for the next three months.
He also thanked all people involved in running essential Services during the lockdown. He called them our “daily heroes”. Indeed they are rendering yeoman service at a difficult juncture.
Prime Minister said he was pained at some people were discriminating against coronavirus patients, doctors and others. This is unacceptable in a civilised society,  he said.
In conclusion Mr Modi asked everyone to maintain social distancing but develop emotional bonding. This will help us to win the battle against Corona.
